What’s the difference between an original and a print?
Original Paintings are original concepts painted by the artist. These are one-of-a-kind pieces, typically higher in pricing, as they are investments.
Art Prints are reproductions of a work of art, created through a printmaking technique. The most common type of print is produced by a photo-mechanical process. The image is photographically transferred from an original source and is mass reproduced. Do not confuse this with original prints.
Original Prints are prints that are traditionally signed and numbered by the artist and generally called “Limited Edition Prints.” Original prints can also be considered investments and bring with them the level of status that mass reproductions do not.
What’s the difference between an original and commission
A commission is the act of requesting the creation of a piece, often on behalf of yourself or another. Artwork may be commissioned by private individuals, by the government, or businesses. Original works are those conceptualized and executed solely by the artist of their own artistic license.

I have been creating artwork my entire life. I have been a full-time artist for 3 years now.
How and when should interested customers contact you?

Do you accept commissioned projects?
I accept selective commission orders. Please submit requests via the Commission Order Form.
What are your payment terms for commissions?
I accept a non-refundable deposit of half the total cost (50%) and remaining balance of 50% once artwork is completed.
Do you offer installment payment plans for original paintings?
Yes. Installment payments can be negotiated on a client to client basis.
Are you interested in being contacted by galleries or agents?

Do you accept visitors at your studio?
Studio visits must be scheduled with the artist. Please email studio@marianmekhail.com to request a studio visit. Studio visits are for SERIOUS art inquiries only.
Do you rent or lease your art and what are your fees?
Artwork can be rented/leased for open houses, pop-up shops, etc. Please contact studio@marianmekhail.com for pricing.
What sizes do limited edition prints come in?
Limited edition prints come in the following sizes: 18x24”, 16x16”, 12x20”
Do you help customers with the selection of frames for your artwork?
Framing is a very personal experience to each buyer, as decor and aesthetic vary from space to space. If you have questions in regards to framing, please refer to and support your local frame shop. They could use your patronage and support. You can also find great, budget- friendly frames online.
